Sustainable Change
Transformational Executive Coaching is a uniquely structured and goal-focused system that effects and sustains the dramatic changes that leaders want from a coaching engagement. The skills the executive develops in order to make this shift transcend the specific coaching engagement and become an integral part of the executive’s toolkit for continued growth and development. The system is based on the Hierarchy of Sustained Change, a nested set of best practices that are essential for driving sustained change and supported by proven theories.
Goal-Focused
The coaching process begins with identifying well-articulated goals that motivate the executive. The Seven-Stage Model explores goals from three perspectives to ensure that they are aligned with the executive’s values while addressing the business issues.
Relationship-Based
The high-quality information for the change effort comes from the coach-executive relationship and supportive relationships the process builds. The Seven-Stage Model is an original approach to gathering the best information and resources available to support executives in achieving their goals. The Model’s 360 Feedback Interview is a unique methodology for gathering goal-specific and behaviorally-anchored information from colleagues who are invested in the executive’s success. This group provides non-anonymous, quality, specific feedback, the type that doesn’t come from traditional 360-degree surveys or typical employee-manager-peer interactions.
Coaching Skills
The success of the model relies on coaching skills that create a safe environment to do the hard work that facilitates change. The coach models the Key Coaching Self-Management Skills of attuned empathy, self-awareness, self-compassion, authenticity, and managing multiple roles.
